I never thought in my wildest dream about what is happening in the Middle East. Thank God I have contributed to the overthrowing of Hosni Mubarak of Egypt, at the level of the white house, the Arab world, and through my facebook. In my letter to President Obama, on May 30, 2009, I advised him to stay away from that dictator, Hosni Mubarak, which he did, meeting him for only 20 minutes and addressing the Muslim world from Cairo University without mentioning Mubarak. A large amount of that speech came from my letter. I also advised the President not to be afraid of the Islamic parties, particularly the Muslim Brotherhood. This group is a moderate, most educated, hard working group, not only in Egypt, but throughout the Arab world, and they are not against the U.S. We should deal with them, the ones who are attacking those Islamic parties, which are the pro-Israeli, being Jewish Zionist, or the narrow minded Christian Zionists, such as the Fox News,-Shawn Hannity and Mike Huckaby as an example. Mike Huckaby, who ran for President as a republican in 2008, primary election, had visited (made pilgrimage??) to Jerusalem almost 11 times, and he did not get any endorsements, not from a single prominent Jewish leader in the U.S. President Bush, in his last year in office, when he visited Jerusalem, Ehud Elmart, the Prime Minister of Israel at the time, as reported by the Israeli Newspapers, telling President Bush (thank you Mr. President for waging war in Iraq, instead of saying I am sorry for the waste of lives and money) and I as an American feel dignified by reading those stories. Those American leaders have no dignity to stand up and say something. They just sit there and swallow their pride. President Obama was unable to pressure the Israeli to stop settlement in Jerusalem and in other Palestinian lands, among them, my own land, my olive trees by the settlement at Izhar, etc., and in the long run, Israel will face the consequences. From now on, they have to deal with the people, and not with corrupt, despicable dictatorships in the Arab world. I am glad that President Obama is coming strong on the side of the people in the Arab and Muslim world. This will be compensation for his lack of influence against the Israelis settlement. For the last 37 years in this country, I have found it so disheartening that all those American politicians who are in sensitive positions dealing with foreign policy, the budget, and the Arab and Muslim worlds, are practically Jewish Zionists or are strongly pro-Israeli. It is as if we put the fox to guard the chicken coup. The era of J. William Fullbright and Charles Percy are gone. How much I admired those truly American patriots, that their concern had been America first, and not Israel. It is so funny that the American Jews wanted 100% support for Israel, and Israel will not accept any less than that. Whoever criticized the Zionist state, if he is gentle, is labeled anti-Semitic, and if he is a fair minded, good Jew, he is labeled as self-hating Jew.
We are living in the Era of the Cyberspace, the Internet, and the Facebook-Twitter, and no one can claim that Israel is the only democracy in the Middle East. It might be for the Jews only. I have witnessed this in almost all my frequent trips to Palestine over the years. I just hope that my idea to create a Democratic and Secular state in the historic Palestine, where Jews, Christians, and Muslims can live together with equal right, like we do here, in the U.S., will succeed. I am glad that my ideas about constitutional Monarchies, which I have held for a long time, are taking root in Morocco, Jordan, Etc.
Congressman Peter King of New York, holding hearing against Islamic radicals, which is a despicable act, is a person known to be a hatemonger, and I just tell him, we, the Muslims, are apple pie just like any other American. His hearing creates division and encourage bigotry and prejudice against Muslims.
