I will never forget when I was campaigning for Jesse Jackson in Iowa, in 1984, for the Presidential spot, as his campaign was too sluggish and slow. I suggested to his campaign manager to state that he will be selecting a woman for Vice President, and among those ladies I suggested was Geraldine Ferraro. He did this in order to stimulate his campaign and to make the headlines, so being the first to declare a woman VP candidate. After he mentioned in his campaign he would be selecting a woman as VP, it was Mondale who selected her as his VP nominee. I am glad I was the first to suggest such an idea. She was an extraordinary woman, indeed I liked her more than Mondale. May God bless her soul, and have Mercy on her.
